For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers' stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.

  Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or plant on the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

  高職教育發(fā)展越來越迅速,學(xué)生規(guī)模逐年上升,因此高職公共英語教育也同樣遇到了大班教學(xué)的問題,隨著現(xiàn)代教育技術(shù)的應(yīng)用,高職公共英語大班教學(xué)在某種程度上能緩解學(xué)生太多而英語教師不足的矛盾,也節(jié)省了教室資源。但在很大程上影響了英語教學(xué)質(zhì)量,學(xué)生數(shù)量過多,教師往往感覺無力駕馭課堂學(xué)習(xí)活動,難于維持課堂紀律;而學(xué)生們則認為課堂氣氛沉悶,學(xué)習(xí)被動,另外教室空間過大,放音效果也難以保證。

  因此,我們必須改進以教師為中心的傳統(tǒng)課堂教學(xué)模式,建立以學(xué)生為中心的新型教學(xué)模式,而合作學(xué)習(xí)正是實現(xiàn)這一轉(zhuǎn)變的有效策略。

  二、合作學(xué)習(xí)的概念

  合作學(xué)習(xí)(cooperative learning)以研究與利用課堂教學(xué)中的人際關(guān)系為基點,以目標設(shè)計為先導(dǎo),以師生、生生、師師合作為基本動力,以小組活動為基本教學(xué)形式合作策略,以團體成績?yōu)樵u價標準,以標準參照評價為基本手段,以大面積提高學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)成績、改善班級內(nèi)的學(xué)習(xí)氛圍、形成學(xué)生良好的心理品質(zhì)和社會技能為根本目標。

  合作學(xué)習(xí)中的“合作”有兩層含義:一是行動的合作;一是知識資源的共享和思想方法的合作。課堂教學(xué)中師生交往的形式是多種多樣的,但最重要的交往形式就是生生交往一學(xué)生之間和小組之間。創(chuàng)設(shè)各種合作學(xué)習(xí)的活動,可實現(xiàn)課堂教學(xué)交際化,增加學(xué)生用外語交往的機會;同時更促使學(xué)在合作互動的氛圍中彼此影響、共同進步。

  三、合作學(xué)習(xí)在高職公共英語教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用

  如何把這種合作應(yīng)用到高職公共英語大班教學(xué)的課堂上,下面就規(guī)劃設(shè)計、內(nèi)容形式、評價等幾個方面討論合作學(xué)習(xí)在大班教學(xué)中的應(yīng)用。

  1、教師規(guī)劃設(shè)計合作學(xué)習(xí)課堂

  首先,合理分組很重要,在實際課堂中,一般采用就近異質(zhì)組合或任務(wù)驅(qū)動組合的形式。就近異質(zhì)組合形式是指按班級正常的座次,將座位鄰近的學(xué)生組成學(xué)習(xí),每個小組4-6人,不用將學(xué)生分出層次,減少相互交流中的心理障礙,操作比較簡單。而任務(wù)驅(qū)動組合則是圍繞一項具體的學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),讓學(xué)生按個人興趣自由組成學(xué)習(xí)小組,人數(shù)同就近異質(zhì)形式相當,這種形式構(gòu)成的學(xué)習(xí)小組往往是同質(zhì)組合組合,更有利于高效完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)。筆者在實際應(yīng)用當中采用更多。其次,精心設(shè)計小組任務(wù),英語語言活動、語言能力和語言組織是統(tǒng)一的,也是密切聯(lián)系的。在公共英語教學(xué)中,活動教學(xué)、能力教學(xué)和知識教學(xué)要一體化。教師必須給學(xué)習(xí)小組布置明確的任務(wù)。例如在教授Money (English For Career, Book 2, UnitFive)一文時,要求學(xué)生查閱有關(guān)金錢的資料,如古時金錢交換的形式,錢幣的發(fā)展再進而引入與金錢相關(guān)的諺語并讓學(xué)生搜集資料結(jié)合個人看法就金錢與關(guān)愛等不同社會存在因素進行討論,根據(jù)學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容設(shè)計合作任務(wù)。再次,創(chuàng)設(shè)有效課堂教學(xué)活動,要使小組合作學(xué)習(xí)有效而長期的開展下去,小組合作學(xué)習(xí)過程中,都是的合理、科學(xué)指導(dǎo)非常關(guān)鍵論文參考文獻格式。在教學(xué)中我們應(yīng)盡量為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)真實的情境,提供機會,讓學(xué)生通過小組活動來促進課文教學(xué)。例如在教授Workplace(English For Career, Book 2, UnitOne)一文時課文主線是business affairs。小組討論現(xiàn)代商務(wù)環(huán)境下一般商務(wù)人員在日常辦公的不同場所,如日常辦公室活動,商務(wù)談判,商務(wù)會議等情景下,如何進行日常的職業(yè)活動。一組以不同的商務(wù)場景為依托,討論日常辦公中出現(xiàn)的國際企業(yè)文化差異及國際商務(wù)語言,就如何跨越中外企業(yè)文化差異以及如何在不同情景下使用合適商務(wù)英語對話等問題提出想法。

  2、合作學(xué)習(xí)開設(shè)的具體內(nèi)容和形式

  開展合作學(xué)習(xí)一般采用對話或角色扮演、討論或辯論、分配小組學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)三種形式。對話或角色扮演可結(jié)合高職公共英語教材中的聽力交際訓(xùn)練,學(xué)生可在小組摘要求學(xué)生寫一篇Report,其中包括中外文化取名的差異和習(xí)俗、學(xué)生自己名字包涵的深層寓意等,顯然對于學(xué)生來說,單靠個人的努力難以完成。這時可以組織小組合作學(xué)習(xí),同學(xué)們分頭查詢資料。整理資料合作策略,各盡所能,各顯其能。這樣,既培養(yǎng),學(xué)生的合作精神,也較好地完成了學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),使學(xué)生從中體會到成功的樂趣。

  3、對一階段合作學(xué)習(xí)成果總結(jié)和評價。

  對于小組合作團隊的教學(xué)評價,應(yīng)包含兩大方面:一是教師根據(jù)學(xué)生課堂表現(xiàn)對小組成員活動表現(xiàn),及時進行總結(jié)和評價,向?qū)W生提供反饋信息,指出合作學(xué)習(xí)在英語學(xué)習(xí)方面的成功、進步之處,表揚活動出色的學(xué)生和小組,讓學(xué)生產(chǎn)生成就感,調(diào)動其學(xué)習(xí)積極性。同時也應(yīng)指出普遍性的錯誤或其他需改進之處。讓學(xué)生樹立信心,做好下次的合作學(xué)習(xí)。二是學(xué)生之間,尤其是小組成員之間應(yīng)根據(jù)小組內(nèi)各成員對每次老師布置的任務(wù)完成所做的努力和貢獻而進行相互評價打分,并且這一評價納入學(xué)生平時成績計算。這一措施能避免同一小組內(nèi)工作任務(wù)無人積極參與以及單個學(xué)生重復(fù)工作的現(xiàn)狀,能推動學(xué)生主動進行對任務(wù)主題的發(fā)掘和刺激學(xué)生完成各自任務(wù)的積極性。

  四、結(jié)束語

  合作性學(xué)習(xí)是一種新穎的教學(xué)策略和學(xué)習(xí)方式,在合作學(xué)習(xí)中,教師摒棄了傳統(tǒng)的、靜態(tài)的教學(xué)模式,將合作觀念引入課堂教學(xué)。實現(xiàn)了從“授之以魚”到“授之以漁”的轉(zhuǎn)變。在大班英語課堂教學(xué)中引入合作學(xué)習(xí),能夠有效地解決大班授課中師資短缺、學(xué)習(xí)被動等問題;激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,培養(yǎng)與他人合作的團隊精神;可以有效提高學(xué)生的水平和實際應(yīng)用能力。而且,通過分配任務(wù)將合作學(xué)習(xí)更有效地應(yīng)用在課堂以外更加有利于英語學(xué)習(xí)的不斷延伸。

  From this cartoon, we can see that at the top end of the river,is a chemical factory and a paperrnaking factory which send out and poisonous wastes. And the river has been seriously polluted,n be seen from the color of it. Along this "black" river, there are a few people selling fresh water which must have been taken from far away places.

  At the first glance, it is very strange to us how can people sell water along the river, but this is the case, because the water in this river is undrinkable. This presents a serious social problem--environmental pollution. With the development of economy, our living standards have been greatly improved. But we can‘ t ignore the fact the air we take in and the water we drink today are not as fresh and clean as they used to be. Some kinds of pollution can even be deadly to people. It is high time that we took some measures to solve the problem.I think we can first call people‘s attention to this problem so that they will be aware of the serious consequences of it. Then,we can pass certain laws to restrain the factories from sending out wastes. Finally,
