Nowadays，there are great varieties of recreational activities in people's life. According to a recent survey conducted by CCTV the past decade has witnessed a sharp increase in the kind of recreational activities nowadays people take up to an astonishing number of 2，490，ranging from horse riding to Kara Ok，from Internet games to skating.
It goes without saying that recreational activities have both advantages and disadvantages. To begin with，recreation will relieve us the tension and discomfort by offering ways to let out emotion and bring about excitement. In addition，it broadens our horizon，which may in return help us be more creative in daily life. However, those who lack self-control would very easily get lost and become addicted to the various recreational activities.
As a college student，I think recreational activities should be done within a certain limit so that we(an strike a proper balance between recreation and study.

Nowadays, there are many kinds of activities for people entertaining in their leisure time, especially in holiday, such as climbing a mountain, having a picnic, holding a party and so on. However, these recreational activities have its advantages but also bring some harmful influences to people’s lives.
如今，在閑暇的時(shí)間里有多的活動(dòng)供人們娛樂，尤其是在假日，如登山，野餐，舉行晚會(huì)等。然而，這些娛樂活動(dòng)有其優(yōu)勢(shì)，但也給人們的生活帶來(lái)了一些不利的影響。
First, to some extent, these recreational activities enrich people’s lives. Those who take part in different activities will not be easy to feel lonely or boring in their leisure time and live wonderful lives instead. Second, taking part in some group activities is a good form to strengthen friendships. For example, many students will hold a union to collect their old classmates or friends in winter holiday so that they have a common time to communicate with each other. Last but not least, such activities like climbing a mountain provide a good chance to do exercise.
首先，在某種程度上，這些娛樂活動(dòng)豐富了人們的生活。那些參加不同活動(dòng)的人在他們閑暇的時(shí)間里不會(huì)是很容易感到寂寞、無(wú)聊而是過(guò)著美好的生活。第二，參加一些集體活動(dòng)是加強(qiáng)友誼的一種好方式。比如，很多學(xué)生會(huì)在寒假和他們的老同學(xué)或者朋友聚會(huì)，這樣大家就有一個(gè)共同的時(shí)間來(lái)相互交流了。最后但并非最不重要的，像爬山這樣的'活動(dòng)為人們提供了一個(gè)鍛煉的好機(jī)會(huì)。
However, these recreational activities also bring some problems at the same time. For one thing, taking part in too many these activities will increase the burden of themselves or their families because it is inevitable to spend some money in holding these activities. For another, some recreational activities have potential harm for participants’ health, particularly staying up all night, drinking and smoking.
然而，這些娛樂活動(dòng)同時(shí)也帶來(lái)了一些問(wèn)題。首先，參加太多這些活動(dòng)會(huì)增加他們自己或他們家庭的負(fù)擔(dān)，因?yàn)榕e行這些活動(dòng)不可避免要花一些錢。另一方面，一些娛樂活動(dòng)對(duì)參與者的健康存在潛在危害，特別是熬夜，飲酒和吸煙。
Therefore, in my opinion, we have to make a careful consideration before we take part in these recreational activities.
因此，在我看來(lái)，在我們參加這些娛樂活動(dòng)前必須要仔細(xì)的考慮。
