I have read the 7 to 8 paragraph . First , when i am reading " individualistic Western cultures ", to think of Chinese cultures . As the economy devoloping(developing) , the level of income incresing (increasing). But we become less happied(happy) in our livelihood . In China , the happiness less than individualistic western clutures(cultures) . Now interviwe(interview) with eastern cultures of people that we usually control good opinions ourselves . The rules have limited our action and thinking . Do not go faster than times , our sages said . So we ussally(usually) feel no point and more stress with ourselves . Then " Blessed is he who expects nothing , for he shall never be disappointed " in 9 paragraph . I could not to understand " BLESS " mean is , I think maybe is " God bless me ", but it is wrong . I put it out in dictionary , nothing is here . So I was reading , I found maybe " BLESS " mean is " HOPE ". I hope to confirm this word in class .
