　　since the quality of honesty applies to all behaviors, one cannot refuse to consider factual information, for example, in an unbiased manner and still claim that one's knowledge, belief or position is an attempt to be truthful. such a belief is clearly a product of one's desires and simply has nothing to do with the human ability to know. basing one's positions on what one wants — rather than unbiased evidence gathering — is dishonest even when good intentions can be cited — after all even hitler could cite good intentions and intended glory for a select group of people. clearly then, an unbiased approach to the truth is a requirement of honesty. because intentions are closely related to fairness and certainly affect the degree of honesty/dishonesty, there is a wide spread confusion about honesty--and a general belief that being dishonest means that one always correctly understands if their behavior is either honest or dishonest. self-perception of our morality is non-static and volatile. it's often at the moment we refuse to consider other perspectives that there is a clear indication we are not pursuing the truth, rather than simply and exclusively at the moment we can muster up evidence that we are right. socrates had much to say about truth, honesty and morality, and explained that if people really understood that their behavior was wrong — then they simply wouldn't do it — by definition. unfortunately, honesty in the western tradition has been marginalized to specific instances — perhaps because a thorough understanding of honesty collides with ideologies of all types. ideologies and idealism often exaggerate and suppress evidence in order to support their perspectives — at the expense of the truth. this process erodes the practice and understanding of honesty. to an ideologist the truth quite often becomes insignificant, what matters most are their ideals and what ever supports their desires to enjoy and spread those ideals.

　　（一）溝通感情，勉勵關(guān)懷

　　學(xué)生是學(xué)習(xí)的主體，要想使之發(fā)揮積極主動性，需走進(jìn)他們的內(nèi)心，激發(fā)他們學(xué)習(xí)的熱情。針對學(xué)生不同的情況，我鼓勵他們發(fā)奮圖強(qiáng)，力爭三年后跨入自己理想的大學(xué)。高三補(bǔ)習(xí)班的學(xué)生，有的喪失了自信心，深感前途迷茫，有的則破罐破摔。通過我不斷接觸和仔細(xì)觀察，綜合各方面的信息，給予他們指導(dǎo)，力所能及地打動他們學(xué)習(xí)的欲望�！坝H其師，信其道”，學(xué)生對學(xué)科、對老師的好惡等非智力因素對學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)有著很大的影響。漸漸地，很多學(xué)生開始喜歡我授課，無數(shù)次的心靈交流，使我們的情誼日漸深厚。

　　（二）因材施教，務(wù)實“雙基”

　　從第一次的測試中，我發(fā)現(xiàn)大部分同學(xué)聽、說、讀、寫的基本功很不扎實，需加強(qiáng)“雙基”訓(xùn)練。同學(xué)們?yōu)g覽新教材后，也感到他們即將面臨一個新的“學(xué)習(xí)高源”。

　　備課中，我參考教參及一些“雙基”教輔材料，結(jié)合所教學(xué)生實際，采用一些獨(dú)特的做法。

　　1、變考前集中復(fù)習(xí)為課上天天復(fù)習(xí)

　　高中英語知識總量較之初中英語成倍增加，課時卻相對較緊。我所教的學(xué)生中，中差生居多。如把復(fù)習(xí)集中在期中或期末考前進(jìn)行，勢必擠占平時教學(xué)課時，影響課文的透徹講解。因此，我對教材中的每一個重要語言點(diǎn)都盡可能做到：以新帶舊，深入淺出。課堂習(xí)題濃縮精選，先放低要求，待務(wù)實鞏固后，再循序漸進(jìn)，逐步拔高。這樣就變課前集中復(fù)習(xí)為課上天天復(fù)習(xí)。

　　2、強(qiáng)化詞匯、句型、語篇教學(xué)

　　在詞匯教學(xué)方面，堅持分單元集中講授，適度擴(kuò)展，并要求學(xué)生熟練掌握構(gòu)詞規(guī)律。在課文教學(xué)方面，強(qiáng)調(diào)句型和語篇的有機(jī)聯(lián)系，要求學(xué)生以句子為單位，有選擇地背一些重要句型，這樣既可減輕學(xué)生過重的學(xué)習(xí)負(fù)擔(dān)，又可達(dá)到提高書面表達(dá)能力的效果。上閱讀理解課時，經(jīng)常圍繞中心大意，常用句型和篇章結(jié)構(gòu)等幾個重要環(huán)節(jié)展開。精讀、泛讀相結(jié)合，對不同的閱讀課文采用點(diǎn)撥、啟發(fā)、提問、講解、展開和深繹等教法。

　　每次大小測驗之后，我總要將學(xué)生們的成績進(jìn)行分析，找出他們的弱項，以便在今后的教學(xué)中作為重點(diǎn)加以突破，為全面提高學(xué)生的應(yīng)試能力奠定堅實的基礎(chǔ)。通過平時的教學(xué)觀察，我發(fā)現(xiàn)他們丟分多是因為語感不強(qiáng)，詞匯量普遍較少，閱讀理解能力不強(qiáng)。

　　短文改錯主要是不注意語言現(xiàn)象。想要提高改能力，有賴于平時足量的練習(xí)和實踐。短文改錯設(shè)計靈活，壓分度高，綜合性強(qiáng)，學(xué)生往往辨認(rèn)不出行文邏輯的錯誤。解題時遵循三部曲：首先通讀全文，初選錯誤；然后二次閱讀，攻克難關(guān)；最后重讀全文，仔細(xì)核對。

And men who eat fish several times a week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchers have told the American Association for Cancer Research. 　　The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the University of Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofu and miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancer by 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, though compounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects. A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a week had a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared with men who ate fish less than once a week. Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interfere with the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.

　　目前的形勢決定了英語學(xué)科的重要性，請各位家長務(wù)必重視英語這一學(xué)科，你們思想上重視了，無形中也給孩子以熏陶，重視與不重視肯定是完全不同的，在英語課堂上，大部分學(xué)生都能很活躍的回答老師提出的問題，積極跟著老師拼讀單詞，朗讀課文。其實這也制造了一種假象，學(xué)生認(rèn)為自己常常被老師提問，認(rèn)為自己能夠回答老師的問題，于是認(rèn)為自己的英語學(xué)得很不錯，自我感覺特別好。于是下課后在英語上花的時間就少了。其實要學(xué)好英語，課上占40%，其余的60%還需要學(xué)生在課后不斷的鞏固，加深記憶。在課上老師更多的是教授新知識，當(dāng)然課上也會有少量的時間鞏固新學(xué)的知識。但是這些時間是公共的時間，而不是每個學(xué)生私有的時間，所以不可能照顧到每個學(xué)生，不可能讓所有學(xué)生都達(dá)到相同的程度。況且每個學(xué)生對新知識得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能當(dāng)堂就已經(jīng)有很深的印象，很難忘記，但這肯定是很少的。大部分學(xué)生都只能是初步接觸了新知識，要真正接受新知識還要學(xué)生在課后多下功夫，不然肯定會和別的同學(xué)拉下差距。

　　那么在課后學(xué)生到底該怎么做才能把其余的60%補(bǔ)回來呢？英語畢竟不是我們自己的語言，大多數(shù)學(xué)生除了英語課其余時間根本就不會想到要說英語，所以，在課后一定要主動抽時間為自己補(bǔ)習(xí)英語。學(xué)好英語，不外乎就是在聽，說，讀，寫這些方面下功夫。

　　首先說一下聽，每個學(xué)生都有和書相配套的磁帶，可是請各位家長檢查一下自己的子女的英語磁帶，有多少學(xué)生的磁帶還是和剛發(fā)的時候一樣的，根本就沒有聽過。不要說另外買什么英語聽力磁帶或者英語學(xué)習(xí)的碟片了，連自己手頭的磁帶都不去聽，光靠上課聽一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的磁帶，學(xué)生的聽力根本就不能有什么發(fā)展。不會聽就不能說，而說白了，學(xué)了英語就是要說，那不是白學(xué)了么？聽錄音機(jī)跟讀，目的應(yīng)該是兩種，一種同學(xué)是上課沒有完全消化，聽錄音是補(bǔ)充學(xué)習(xí)的過程，另外一種是提高自己的聽力和口語表達(dá)能力，要學(xué)生盡力地去模仿錄音機(jī)里的發(fā)音，從而使自己的聽力和口語都提高一個層次。

　　接下來是說，英語是一門語言，學(xué)了就是要說，要和別人交流。我們學(xué)的英語不應(yīng)該是啞巴英語，要讓每個學(xué)生學(xué)會勇敢地說出來。在課上我會用各種方法來刺激學(xué)生，激發(fā)他們說英語的積極性，大多數(shù)學(xué)生也確實做得很好�？墒前嗉壚锶硕�，對每個人來說，說的機(jī)會就少。所以下課也要說；放學(xué)回家也要說。在學(xué)校，我鼓勵學(xué)生把所學(xué)的英語對話運(yùn)用到生活中去，這樣有更真實的情景，更能讓學(xué)生有發(fā)揮的余地。在家里，希望家長也能鼓勵學(xué)生說英語，也許你會說你自己也聽不懂，請不要這樣想，其實學(xué)生需要是你的鼓勵，你聽了他們說的只要簡單表揚(yáng)一句，他們就會很滿足了。有時候你們也可以不懂裝懂，或者還可以讓學(xué)生反過來教你，他們會覺得很自豪，因為自己所學(xué)得派上了用場。
