Supporting Equality in Education
Educational equality, also referred to as equality in education, is a measure of achievement, fairness, and opportunity in education, according to . The growing importance of education equality is based on the premise that now, more than ever before, an individual’s level of education is directly correlated to the quality of life he or she will live in the future. The issue of educational equality has become more and more significant nowadays with the rapid development of our economy and it has been put forward in governmental occasions several years before.
Educational equality is dependent on two main factors. The first is fairness, which implies that factors specific to one’s personal conditions should not interfere with the potential of academic success. The second important factor is inclusion, which refers to a comprehensive standard that applies to everyone in a certain education system. These two factors are closely related and are dependent on each other for true academic success of an educational system.
The pursuit of fairness in education is a significant issue in China. The Communist Party was born to bring fairness to China. It promoted egalitarianism with some success, though at a poor level of nominal equality, and China's inequality of education remains a major challenge despite its overall improvement of education service. Deputies to the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, must assume responsibility in safeguarding the nation's education, and they must be held accountable. Our leaders must become more aware and act professionally within the present political system. It is fundamental for the health of the next generation.
Transforming schools into truly egalitarian institutions requires a holistic and long-drawn approach. However, kids need us to fix our education system now. With a focus on expanding education options for parents and spending our education founding wisely, we can overcome the barriers that exist today in education and give every child a fighting chance for success.

The Internet
In the era of information and technology, the Internet has played an improtant role in our society. With the Internet, its easy to get the information we need, improving the efficiency of our study and work. We cant deny that it is impossible for lots of people to achieve great success in the modern society without the Internet.
However, some people think that the Internet has a bad effect on the growth of the teenagers. The teenagers are too young to resist some temptations from the Internet. Some of them indulge themselves in the Internet and at last are lured away from the study.
In my opinion, we should pay more attention to the advantages of the Internet and make the most of it. Meanwhile, we should teach the teenagers how to use the Internet positively, and make the Internet a tool for their healthy development.
Today when I was relatively free , I mucked around some of my previous classmates’ QQ zones . I surprisingly found that after more than one year’s college life , they are becoming more and more mature , both physically and spiritually . I got that they all lead a meaningful and fruitful life in their school , though study burden is just like a ghost always haunting them . but in my viewpoint , I think pressure is essential and crucial to most of us , unless you have a strong control of yourself and can study without others’ mention . under a given pressure , we will be enforced to do what is indeed good for us but enjoys little popularity among us .
So fairly often when we look back to the past , we may feel guilty at wasting so much time , but simultaneously it will make us rejoice that we have been obliged to do those which turn out to be good for us . so to a large extent , what you loathe may probably do enormous good to you . on the other hand , even though the thing you are compelled to do does no good to you at all , it is also beneficial for you to accept the reality ,because many a time in our life , we have no right to choose but to be chosen . life may not always go our way , which indicates if we cannot do following our original wish , we have to face the music and accomplish well what we ought to or have to do . it is also a kind of capability to do well what we disrelish , which implies we have been mature and seen the essence of life through .
In the past , when I was doing something compulsory but useless , I would always nag at it all the time till I finally got away from it . but now , I will show another story . I will also try my best to fulfil my task , and go all out to develop what I am inclined to within all the controllable factors . I hold that since you have started , why not give it as well as yourself a perfect ending ? no matter it is favorable or not , fulfilling a task successfully and excellently can show and cultivate your practical ability . hence I deeply believe only by doing so can we achieve the utmost benefit within extremely limited resources.

it was a sunny balmy afternoon at the end of a leisurely summer. i was driving on a winding country road with a lady friend. little did i know that i was to have a close call that would have almost ruined the rest of my life.
earlier that day, a friend called me to tell me that our mutual friend rosy was arriving back from taiwan after the summer holidays. since there was no airport in the immediate vicinity of the university, she would need a ride to come back on campus.
being mildly interested in that girl, i jumped at the chance to play hero. the trip was not particular long or arduous. i was to pick her up from a friend’s home that was a mere 80 miles from campus—a piece of cake, i said to myself.
everything went well. the country road was almost deserted. visibility was good and i was not driving very fast. the conversation was lively but not distracting.
about half an hour into the drive, i rounded a corner and noticed two small children, aged around 10, waiting to cross the road after getting off their school bus. my mind was not particularly focused on them because i thought they would not cross the road when a truck was coming through on their side. the two kids looked to their left, watching the truck intensely. as soon as the truck passed, and without a thought, they started to dash across the road. i was petrified, to say the least. my heart almost leaped out of my throat. time seemed to have come to a standstill. it was like a nightmare coming into reality. i felt i was in the slow motion crash scene of a movie. i did not even have the time to brake or steer clear.
by providence smiled on me that day. the two kids missed my car by less than an inch. imagine what would have happened if i had hit them? they would have been killed instantly. i would have been charged with manslaughter and thrown into jail. my career would be over before it even got started. the kind of inhumane treatment i would receive from fellow inmate, i could only guess but hate to imagine. i will never be a whole person again even if i were to be released early for good behavior. my life would be over. even if i had a good lawyer that could have gotten me off, i would have carried that guilt in my mind for the rest of my life.
even today, thirty-si years later, the memory of that day is still fresh on my mind. i have my lucky star to thank for having both parties gotten off unscathed.
Many parents who welcome the idea of turning off TV and spending more time with the family are still worded that without TV they would constantly be on call as entertainers for their children. They remember thinking up all sorts of things to do when they were kids. But their own kids seem different, less resourceful, somewhat. When there's nothing to do,these parents observe regretfully, their kids seem unable to come up with anything to do besides turning on TV.
One father, for example, says,"When I was a kid, we were always thinking up things to do. We certainly never complain in an annoying way to our parents: 'have nothing to do! ' "He compares this with his own children today:"They're simply lazy. If someone doesn't entertain them, they' II happily sit there watching TV all day."
There is one word for this father's disappointment: unfair. He deplores his children' s lack of inventiveness, as if the ability to play were something innate that his children are missing. In fact, while the tendency to play is built into the human species.
Such disappointment, however, is not only unjust, it is also destructive. Sensing their parents' disappointment, children come to believe that they are, indeed, lacking something, and that this makes them less worthy of admiration and respect. Giving children the opportunity to develop new re-sources, to enlarge their horizons and discover the pleasures of doing things on their own is, on the other hand, a way to help children develop a confident feeling about themselves as capable and interesting people.
